Update tools with new content

Keep your tool fresh with your latest content

It's simple to update your tool with your latest content.

This article will teach you how to update your knowledge base using files from your local device (i.e. files stored on your laptop).

If you want to sync your tool with files from SharePoint, check out our Update SharePoint article (to be released shortly).

Step 1

In the Josef Q Dashboard, select your tool and head to the Content tab.

Step 2

In the drop-down, select the document you want to replace with a new one. Hit the 'Update' button to initiate the update wizard.

Step 3

Follow the prompts in the update wizard to upload a document to replace the one you selected in the drop-down in step 2. Review the prompts to apply your update!

Please note: if your tool has existing answers that rely on the document you're replacing as a source, these responses will be made inactive for you to review after the update to ensure they reflect the latest content.

After you've updated your knowledge base, all new questions asked will use the content from your latest knowledge base.

Looking to add or delete existing files from your tools? This feature is coming soon... if you need help with this in the meantime, reach out to your Josef account manager who can help.
