Tool settings
Creators can review and edit their tool’s settings via the Dashboard. Here’s how.
Settings
In a tool’s Settings, creators can edit a tool’s name and its description.
Creators can also delete the tool entirely, but be careful, this is permanent and there’s no going back!

Share
Access your tool’s unique URL or Code snippet.
The URL opens tools in full-page browser windows while Code snippets can be used to insert smaller versions of your tool into pages of your choosing.

Responses
Review and moderate how your tool responds to questions.
Important: This is where creators can train tools and moderate responses. In other words, ensure tools deliver the most accurate and helpful answers possible. Learn more.

Review a plain text version of your uploaded document. This is your tool’s knowledge base!

Customisation
Customise your tool including its:
- Example question
- A prompt for the user to start asking questions.
- Additional context
- Extra information to guide users so they receive the best possible answers.
- Add actions
- Add buttons to your tool’s Ask page so that end-user can quickly access external resources. These buttons will appear below your tool’s responses.

Tuning Lab
- ‘No answer’ text
- How tools respond when they don’t have an answer.
- Answer length
- Determine the length of the answers your tool generates. Choose between “Default” or “Longer.”
- Spelling convention
- Determine the language of your tool’s responses. Select from US, British or Australian English.
- Tone of voice
- Determine your tool’s tone of voice so that it’s aligned with your organization’s writing style.
- First, switch from Default to Custom.
- Then, copy paste a sample passage for inspiration. That way your tool will be able to replicate a similar tone in its future responses.

- Give users suggestions on how to refine their questions to get better answers

To view your tool (i.e. to view what end-users see), simply click View in the top right of any of the pages above.
